MITSUBISHI NEW TRUCK SRT Manual
• This is a guide only to assist resellers and customers to choose the most suitable truck. New finished vehicle must be checked for compliance, before going on the road, either by a test station or by an LTSA approved engineer.
• Trucks with a GVW over 12000 kg have to comply to a SRT 0.35 g. Tractors need not meet.
• Compliance date is from 1st Jan 2003 but due to delays in approval of engineers and to obtain suspension data have LTSA accepted that it may take until mid-2004 to assess all the existing fleet. Operators should control their lorries as soon as possible, particularly livestock and logging trucks.
• Although trucks does not have to be certified, it is the responsibility of the operators to make sure he knows its loading restrictions for each truck.
