2001 Chevrolet Suburban brake caliper removal and installation guide
To remove the rear disc and install the pad shall not disconnect the brake hose from the caliper (the wire). Replace all the plates on the axle of wear indicator on any rotor contacts the pad or pad is worn on the inside. 03 "(8 mm) backup pad. Remove the brake hose from the caliper. Separate and remove the brake hose gasket. Plug the holes in the brake caliper and brake hoses to prevent loss of brake fluid and contamination. Remove the caliper Guide pin bolts. Remove the brake caliper. Delete 2/3 of the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the wheel. Use a "C" clamp, compress caliper piston until the bottoms in his boring. To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate caliper Guide pin bolts with Silicon grease. Tighten all nuts and bolts specification. See torque specifications. Bleed the brake system. See manual pressure, haemorrhage or haemorrhage.
