Since 1995, in cars Audi VW (VAG) is used the engine immobilizer. VAG group immobiliser system consists of an immobilizer ECU which controls the recognition of the system of management of the ECU of the engine and keys. Immobilizer is activated when the ignition key is removed and, together with the engine control unit, largely prevents unauthorized starting of the engine. The system uses a transmitter and a receiver unit in the ignition key (transponder). Each time you try to start the engine transmits new code car electronics.
